Kirby Jones
Psychologist & Director
Kirby is a Registered Psychologist with a Masters in Clinical Psychology who has a particular interest in assessment (cognitive, educational and behavioural) and support for children and adolescents, including gifted students and students with learning differences. Kirby is also a board-approved supervisor for provisional psychologists. Kirby provides assessments for children and adults (e.g. Dyslexia & ADHD) and is passionate about working collaboratively with families and schools to provide neurodiversity-affirming support for children and adolescents. Kirby is trained in the Circle of Security and Cool Kids Anxiety programs. Kirby previously worked as a School Psychologist for over 10 years and currently lectures in postgraduate psychology programs at the University of Tasmania. Kirby is registered to provide services under Medicare.
Deb Zwolsman
Psychologist & Director
Deb is a Registered Psychologist with over 20 year experience, who has practised all over Australia in regional, rural and remote communities. Deb works with adults and teenagers with a range of mental health concerns, such as anxiety, depression, and substance use disorders, in addition to relationship, sexuality, and other life time transitional issues. Deb uses a range of different therapeutic treatments, such as EMDR, Cognitive-Behavioural therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing to support clients to build skills in managing and dealing with their issues and symptoms to live a full life.
Clare Penny
Psychologist
Clare is a Psychologist who completed her Graduate Diploma of Psychological Practice at Deakin University, and her Psychology Honours and Master of Professional Psychology Degrees at the University of Tasmania. Clare also has 10 years’ experience working as an occupational therapist within public and private hospital systems. Clare works with individuals of all ages seeking support for depression, anxiety, and emotional regulation, as well as individuals with Autism. Clare also assists with cognitive and academic assessments. Clare aims to provide a safe and client centred therapeutic space for all individuals to feel supported. Clare uses evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), mindfulness, and motivational interviewing. Outside of work, Clare enjoys bush walking, reading, socialising with friends and spending time with her beloved dog Frankie.
Cindy Goh
Psychologist
Cindy is a Psychologist who completed her Bachelor Degree with Honours in Psychology at UTAS. Cindy works with individuals seeking mental health support with concerns around depression, anxiety, as well as individuals with Autism. Cindy uses Psychoeducation and a variety of evidence-based therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) as the basis of her practice. Cindy will also receive training in the administration and interpretation of a wide range of assessments including cognitive and academic assessments in order to support clients with educational planning, learning adjustments, as well as accessing other allied health services and government funding. Cindy has a particular interest in supporting children, primarily in the aspects of development and education. Cindy enjoys going on road trips and exploring cafes on her days off.
Elizabeth Short (Liz)
Provisional Psychologist
Liz is a Provisional Psychologist who completed her Graduate Diploma and Advanced Graduate Diploma in Psychology at Monash University, followed by a Master of Professional Psychology at UTAS. She works with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing anxiety and depression, as well as individuals with Autism. Liz is particularly passionate about building collaborative and respectful therapeutic relationships and creating a space where clients feel understood and empowered. She enjoys helping children and adolescents develop practical coping skills, build confidence, and flourish in their individual strengths and passions. Her approach is grounded in evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and collaborative problem solving, alongside psychoeducation to support meaningful and sustainable change. She is also developing skills in cognitive and academic assessment to assist with educational planning and access to supports. Outside of work, Liz enjoys spending time outdoors and reading.
Samantha Armstrong
Provisional Psychologist
Samantha is a qualified psychologist with a Master’s degree in Educational Psychology from Stellenbosch University, South Africa. Her decade of experience as a teacher gives her a unique insight into the educational setting and the needs of students, educators, and parents. Working in a country as rich in diversity as South Africa, Samantha developed a profound respect for different cultures and the skills to connect with individuals from all walks of life.
Samantha specialises in providing assessment and therapeutic support to children and adolescents. She is particularly passionate about inclusive education and helping neurodiverse learners. Her practice is grounded in person-centred and solution-focused therapeutic styles, and she also uses narrative and play therapy.
Dedicated to helping individuals and families navigate the complexities of modern life, Samantha's work with adults focuses on stress management and life transitions. Meanwhile, her support for families aims to foster home environments that enhance the wellbeing of every single member.
Andrea Breen
Therapist
Andrea Breen PhD is a registered therapist and supervisor with PACFA (Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia). She specialises in grief and loss counselling, trauma recovery, play therapy, creative arts therapy with children, couples counselling and family therapy. Andrea has had broad experience as a teacher in primary, secondary and tertiary education (including counselling practice) and in music and special education. Her experience as a counsellor and creative arts therapist over 20 years includes a range of services: mental health, children's therapy, family therapy, relationship counselling, grief and loss therapy, trauma recovery with former refugees and family violence counselling. She leans towards eclectic approaches in therapy and enabling expression through the arts.
Natalia Miranda Sanchez
Psychologist
Natalia is a bilingual registered psychologist originally from Bogotá, Colombia. She completed her Bachelor's degree in Psychology in Colombia and later obtained recognition of her qualifications in Australia, achieving full registration in 2024. Natalia has experience supporting adults from diverse backgrounds across a range of settings, including people involved in the justice system and people living with disability. She is also interested in expanding her work with adolescents. Natalia is deeply interested in understanding how experiences of trauma can affect both the body and mind. She takes a flexible and integrative approach to therapy, drawing on evidence-based modalities such as EMDR, CBT, ACT, and positive psychology to meet each client's unique needs. Her work is grounded in strengths-based, neuroaffirming and trauma-informed approaches.
Natalia's warm and enthusiastic nature helps her build strong therapeutic relationships based on compassion and respect, creating a supportive space where clients can explore their experiences and work towards meaningful change. Outside of work, Natalia enjoys exercising, spending time outdoors, and connecting with family and friends.
Kate Bennett
Psychologist
Kate is a psychologist who completed her Master of Professional Psychology at the University of New England in NSW. Kate works with adults and older adults experiencing anxiety, depression, PTSD, grief and loss, life transitions and adjustment difficulties, phobias and adult ADHD. Kate is passionate about providing a warm, collaborative and safe space where clients feel understood and able to explore their challenges towards growth, healing and self-understanding.
Kate has a particular interest in trauma and sexual trauma. Prior to gaining her registration as a psychologist, Kate worked as a counsellor for 15 years, including 6 years in the area of sexual assault. Kate also has an interest in older adults’ mental health needs, including the psychological impacts of physical health problems and life transitions.
To support the unique needs clients present with, Kate uses an evidence-based approach which integrates CBT, trauma-focused CBT, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, EMDR, ACT, DBT and mindfulness-based techniques.
When not at work, Kate enjoys walking her dog, gardening, spending time with family and friends, and being outdoors.
